Elizabeth
“Libby” Pataki serves as First Lady of New York
State. In her capacity as First Lady, Mrs. Pataki serves as a spokesperson
for Child Health Plus and Family Health Plus. She also serves as
a spokesperson for the extremely successful “I ? NY”
campaign. Mrs. Pataki is the co-author of three other children’s
books – all released through New York State.
The first book, “Artfully Taught”,
uses paintings, sculptures and tapestries from the Empire State
Art Collection in Albany to teach children the basic shapes of circle,
square and triangle. The second collaboration, “NYC ABC”,
teaches children the alphabet by using the cultural institutions
in the five boroughs of New York. “Letters to New York: Children
Speak Out”, the third book contains a collection of 95 letters
written by children from all over the world about the tragedies
of September 11th.
A graduate of Clark University, Libby Pataki
lived all over the world before settling in New York. She is
the mother of four children: Emily, Teddy, Allison and Owen.
Mrs. Pataki is also the owner of two Labrador retrievers, Eli
and Balto.
